a| “The Letter” deals with the personal stories that emerge from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. Specifically, it tells the story of Robi Damelin, an Israeli woman who loses her son in the national conflict and ends up playing a major role in the peace moment. Her son died at the hands of a Palestinian sniper and because she seeks closure and reconciliation, she writes a letter to the sniper’s family. But she does not immediately receive an answer. However, the quest to understand why and how her son was shot down leads Robi to find out more about her son and the killer than she ever expected.
