Summary
Franz is suing the company that has made him redundant after 40 years. Then, for nine months, he holds out in an empty office with nothing to do. Stephan sits on a chair that is part of a giant billboard for eight days. Selling yourself is sometimes the quickest way to pay your debts, he says. Saskia, the high school graduate, is learning how to put together the perfect application. Gunnar is learning to perceive his own body as trademark as the key to success. Franz finally wins his lawsuit only to realize he has lost all the same. A film about the emotional push and pull of work, its demands, its absurdities and the struggle for fulfillment.
