These are the names of nine acolytes, pupils, wards and foster children, who were sexually, emotionally and physically abused by members of the clergy in Germany. The film follows the victims revisiting the locations of the crimes, many for the first time, revealing a nightmarish insight into arguably one of the worst crimes in post-war Germany. However, the abuse lingers as a societal conscience, made possible by an environment of repression and piety.
