Content and Structure

Scope and Content (Abstract)

The series documents the activities of the Foundation since its creation in 1966, comprising in a systematic way activity and financial reports from the time when it was an affiliate of IACF to its independence in 1978 and dissolution in 1991. The series thus offers a structural – institutional view of the hierarchical interaction between FEIE and its parent organization. It highlights the place of FEIE within the International Association for Cultural Freedom as an 'affiliate' taking care of the Eastern European programs. Activities are described briefly, in an inventorial manner, thus reflecting annually or periodically the overall lines of action of the Secretariat and Council of FEIE and also proving their efficiency in fulfilling their mission. Situational statements are therefore quantitative as well as qualitative. They comprise managerial assessments of different programs and initiatives in support of beleaguered individuals as well as selective accounts pertaining to the beneficiaries or recipients of the above-mentioned operations. The financial papers map the sources of funding and the distribution of money according to the different programs.

The first part of the series contains Activity and Financial Reports and council meeting minutes of FEIE. The second part of the series consists of preparatory materials for unrealized exhibitions and events. At the end of the series support vouchers can be found.
