- Summary
- Following a tradition of Lithuanian poetic documentary, the film details the dismantling of an old railway Siaurukas and the construction of its modern replacement. The old/new railway becomes the symbol of the clash between the archaic rural Lithuania and Soviet industrialization. The film had been considered by the critics to embody the essence of Lithuanianness.
