a| Set in a 1989, at the height of Perestroika, this absurd comedy takes us to the collective farm "The Red Rebel." Although this kolkhoz is one of the most prosperous in the area, its chairman is being severely criticized for not spending nearly enough on "cultural activities" for its members. Under threat of the withdrawal of the bonus payments that the kolkhoz earned for its exemplary production record, the chairman is ordered to improve the situation within a month by either organizing a theater club or shooting a movie, or else. This latter idea seems to strike a deeper chord with both the chairman and the villagers and so the shooting begins…
