- Anti-clerical comedy. On the day of an important church holiday in the city of Jorgenstadt two thieves, Korkis and Schulz, escape from prison. They get lost in the crowd which has gathered for the celebration, and decide to make the church donations their next target. One of the thieves presents himself to the crowd as saint Jorgen.
