a| Maribel, a transsexual from Castellón, Spain, was born as a male but always identified himself as a woman, and was attracted to women. When going through therapy, she was told she is suffering from gender dysphoria (trapped within a body of the wrong sex) with lesbianism as her sexual orientation. “La Moma” follows the story of Maribel, whose story reveals the difficulties that transsexuals have to face, the choices they have to make and sacrifices such a life entails.
