- Croatian female native artists (Bunjevci) in the north of today's Vojvodina have been forgotten. The name "straw-girls" is derived from the straw which they use for weaving beautiful and poetic descriptions of their hard and lonely minority life at home in an immense Panonian golden plain, far away of border of their Croatian homeland.
