Summary
The film narrates the story of the inhabitants of the Mexican village Tres Valles in the region of Veracruz. For generations these people were rooted with their soil. The cultivation of rice, pineapple and sugarcane made a simple wealth possible but everything changed with globalization and many immigrate to the USA in search for work. Most of them are settling down in Kansas were they “rebuilt” their home village Tres Valles to celebrate the Mexican provenance and to overcome their home sickness more easily.
