a| Raven is a short documentary film about a Yazidi painter who escaped from ISIS in 2014 and lives in a camp in Duhok. He continues to paint the traumatic experiences of war despite being repeatedly threatened by phone for exposing the suffering of civilians. The film demonstrates the plight of the many thousand Yazidis who have been attacked by ISIS, the destruction of multiple religions, and the power of art to bring people together to mourn the dead and muster the strength to keep on living.
