Notes
The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

Contents Summary
Close up of Russian language pages held by a woman's hand. One is an original samizdat, the other is the retyped copy. The upper half of a third page is seen with the Cyrillic script header Materialy Samizdata (Materials of Samizdat), dated 1970. For more on the collection see https://catalog.osaarchivum.org/catalog/jNd21GV3 . In the background a map and stacks of folders are seen.
ORIGINAL CAPTION:
Munich - Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty regularly receives "samizdat" (self-published) material from the Soviet Union and some East European countries. It studies, files and reproduces copies for limited distribution to universities and institutes in the Western world. Here a researcher compares a clean copy with the original Russian "samizdat" script. (D-10-3)
