- Palestinian women discuss their lives as followers of Hamas, a designated terrorist organization by the European Union and the United States among others. Hamas came to power in 2006 when it defeated its opponent, Fatah, in Palestinian elections. Despite the party's ultra-conservative views, it apparently provides women in the Gaza Strip with opportunities to develop politically and socially by sending their sons away to become martyrs.
