Summary
The film presents the life and the everyday struggle of the citizens of poor Nairobi districts, simultaneously highlighting the background for the situation of the city and the country. The film’s main protagonist is David Monari, who contributes to better lives for the poor in Kenya by providing active help for HIV positive women and children, supporting small business and cooperating with local assistance groups supplying the poor inhabitants of Nairobi with medical care, the sick and orphans with food, and the older children with writing lessons and vocational training. David Monari, his colleagues and young volunteers from several EU countries are the guides around the place and also for this documentary.
