- The journey of a young Basque woman, Maiana, who travels to Uruguay in search of what really happened to her family during the darkest years of the dictatorship. From the Basque Country to South America, she retraces the steps of her father and his brothers and sisters and explores their individual struggles, whether in legal political actions or clandestine activities as part of an urban guerrilla organization. Through various confessions, she tries to understand their silence, which has left so many wounds. Eyewitnesses to History, whose role were not merely as observers, but hush... “It’s a secret. Until now... I, their daughter and niece, only knew a few bits and pieces, and it’s their whole story I want to piece together. I am determined to get them to speak up, to let the words come.”
