"Pizza in Auschwitz" is the story of Danny Chanoch, a survivor of five concentration camps, who has convinced his adult children to revisit the past with him on a trip to the camps. Returning as a freeman around 64 years after the liberation of the camps, Danny attempts to bring the Holocaust to life again for his children to understand. The film explores themes of remembrance and the relationship those who have not experienced the Holocaust should have with its horrors.
