- This film tells the story of Tadjik youth who seek employment in Moscow because of rampant unemployment in their own country. Several characters are followed from the time when they decide to try leave for Russia, through their many day-long train trip, to their lives in Moscow. It is a story of hardship and loneliness, about people forced to uproot themselves and live away from their families and friends. Some ultimately will strive to find a new home in Moscow, thus remaining forever away from their native lands.
