Director’s statement: I lived in Tokyo for two years. Every day, I looked out the window of my high-rise apartment onto an endless sea of buildings. I was living in the world's largest city – together with 36 million people. Since 11 March 2011 the perspective has shifted. A film about how Tokyo is serviced and supplied, which is also a study in mentality, must necessarily make reference to a triple disaster. In July 2012, I went back to visit the same fishmongers, bio-farmers, and sanitation workers in Tokyo and in northeast Japan, and I asked them how things had changed. They gave impressive accounts of what they'd experienced since the spring of 2012 and talked openly about their fears and concerns, which still haunt them today. They talked about the spread of false information about Fukushima, about withheld reports of water and sewage contamination, and about manipulated media coverage of demonstrations and other acts of civil disobedience. 655 4 Documentary films 260 Germany : |b defi-filmproduktion, |c2013. 041 jpn |jeng 952 |00 |10 |40 |50 |70 |8FL |993991FL |bFL |d2016-11-25 |l0 |r2016-11-25 |w2016-11-25 |yDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_3874_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9151801FL |bFL |d2019-08-08 |l0 |oFL Record 3874 |pHU_OSA_00005629.mp4 |r2021-11-04 |w2019-08-08 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 aYaWWMoJ 966 True |bHU_OSA_00005629 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
