Excerpts from the novel "Life and Fate".
The novel was published in 1960 by the Swiss publishing house Lasch Dom, almost 20 years after it was seized by the State Security Service and 15 years after the death of Vasily Semyonovich.
The action of the novel takes place against the backdrop of the Battle of Stalingrad, the main characters are already familiar to the reader from the novel “For a Just Cause,” but new ones appear, among them the party worker Getmanov. There is a lot of talk about him and some other people in his circle.

Действие романа разворачивается на фоне Сталинградской Битвы, главные герои уже знакомы читателю по роману "За правое дело", но повляються новые среди которых партийный работник Гетманов. О нем и некотрых других людях его круга идёт ручь.
