The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

Editors of East Europe magazine checking over gally proofs from the printer. East Europe, a monthly publication of Free Europe Organizations and Publications (FEOP), a division of the Free Europe Committee, reviews political economic, social and intellectual trends and events in the soviet orbit. In addition, the Press & Publications Department of FEOP publishes companion editions in French (Témoignages), German (Hinter dem Eisernen Vorhang) and Italian (L’Altra Europa). Total circulation of English and foreign editions is about 30,000.
Free Europe Committee, Inc. is the organization that operates Radio Free Europe, the international broadcasting network on the air daily to the captive peoples of Bulgarian, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland and Romania. FEC is supported through contributions of the American Public to the Radio Free Europe Fund (formerly Crusade for Freedom).
