a| In Beit Jalla, a group of Israelis and Palestinians gather in a unique workshop. They are not trying to convince each other that their narrative is right, nor are they seeking a political solution. They have simply been asked to listen, to clarify the differences between how they grasp reality and how the other side sees it, and to become bravely and honestly acquainted with the emotional load that each participant is carrying .In the documentary film ‘Two Sided Story' director Tor Ben Mayor follows a group of 27 Israelis and Palestinians who meet under the frame of a unique project called 'History through the Human Eye'. Among them are bereaved families, Orthodox Jews and religious Muslims, settlers, ex-security prisoners, citizen who live close to the Gaza border, Kibbutz members, second generation Holocaust survivors, nonviolent activists and more. Each and every one holds a historical truth; each and every one carries his own emotional burden. The participants offer us an insight into their inner world; they share their personal experiences along with historical and political interpretation to key events in the conflict.
