Contents/Summary

Summary
Discourse and Discrimination is a study of how racism, anti-semitism and ethnicism are reflected in discourse. Through the analysis of an impressive variety of documents, Reisigl and Wodak present detailed case studies of anti-semitism, institutional racism and political xenophobia in Austria. The book provides a survey of different discourse analysis approaches, analysing the strengths and weaknesses of each, and concludes with the authors' own model of Critical Discourse Analysis.
