Contents/Summary

Summary
For those attracted by the prospect of reconstruction, Libya is considered as a new Eldorado. For others, it’s a transit area toward Europe. But two years after the downfall of Muammar Kadhafi the country is on the brink of implosion. Migrants bear the costs of the economic chaos, and suffer from the central government weakness and from the lack of security. Once in the detention facilities, still out of control of the government authority, most of the migrants are victims of human rights violations. In the shelters of the capital, real open sky prisons, other migrants face death at any moment, with the permanent fear of being racketed, looted, assaulted and arrested. Just like this four months pregnant Eritrean young girl , they better die into the sea rather than staying in Libya.
