The film title K 11 refers to the former red light district Svay Pak, 11 kilometers north of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Svay Pak gained worldwide fame as a referred destination for foreign men with a preference for young girls. After massive international pressure on the Cambodian government, Svay Pak was officially closed in 2005, but young women and girls are still being offered there. The business was merely relocated to the backyards.
