- Summary
- "Tur Abdin" is the motherland of the Aramean Christians of South-East Turkey, not far from the Syrian border. It used to be one of the first settlement areas of the Christians, but now they are a small minority there. Most Aramean Christians escaped from war, violence and repression, many of them to Germany. Now, some exiled Arameans return to South-East Turkey to save their cultural heritage and to rebuild their destroyed villages.
