The joke went so well that rumors about the exciting new rock band Antis began to spread. The impressive make-up and props, the stylized showmanship and lyrics added up to a pervasive caricature of Soviet propaganda and perfectly discredited the absurdity of Soviet reality. Soon the group's intellectual clowning spawned the Rock Marches – massive events involving thousands of people. These turned into the great assemblies for Lithuanian independence that later became known as the Singing Revolution. This is a story about a small country that made headlines right across the world. 580 Verzio Film Festival Submission 655 4 Documentary films 260 Lithuania : |bVildžiūnaitė, Dagnė, |c2011. 041 lit |jeng |jhun 952 |00 |10 |40 |50 |70 |8FL |992815FL |bFL |d2016-11-25 |l0 |r2016-11-25 |w2016-11-25 |yDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_2777_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9149329FL |bFL |d2019-05-10 |l0 |oFL Record 2777 |pHU_OSA_00004384.mp4 |r2021-11-04 |w2019-05-10 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 lePNrwXy 966 True |bHU_OSA_00004384 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
