- A young girl learns at the age of twelve that it is a boy. At 26, after years of self-destruction, she begins to wonder why she was forced into a woman's body as a woman of unclear gender. Alex Jürgen is intersex. A hermaphrodite. A person who throws the meticulous division of the world into male and female. Cuttlefish Alert is the three year journey through Alex's dramatic past to own views and friends. From a documentary project about inter-sexuality emerges the story of a man who charms with his wit, and astonished by his view of the world.
