Contents/Summary

Summary
Deep inside Russia, on the Volga River, lies a car factory built in the 1960s to show the West the miracle of Soviet prosperity. It is the home of Lada, the legendary Soviet car. The plant functions, but loses billions of rubles every year. A Swedish CEO and a handful of European industry experts are hired to revive the struggling factory with a capitalist business model. They have a vision and an incredible drive to succeed. But locals care little for the grand plans of these elites and focus instead on day-to-day survival. What will they do as their world turns upside down? The Russian Job is a story of great plans and greater resistance to changes, told in beautifully crafted images.
