Contents Summary
Over a million rounds of depleted uranium (DU) shells were fired during the short round of bombing in the Gulf War. The fallout from DU shells raised a series of fierce debates about the consequences they might have on human health. In the hospitals of Basra doctors are speaking of a crime against humanity blaming the Western forces for the illnesses affecting a large number of Iraqis and the generations to come. British investigators into Gulf War syndrome deny that DU could be responsible for the scale of cancers and congenital defects afflicting Iraq. So could the reasons for Iraq’s health problems lie elsewhere, including Saddam Hussein's own use of chemical weapons? In order to provide some answers, this documentary interviews Nuclear Consultant John Range, Doctor Abdul Karin, and former Head of Iraqi Intelligence Wafiq Samarrai.
