Excerpts from “We Are Not Animals,” a documentary about the Kurds and their life in the mountains at the Iran-Iraq border following the end of the Gulf War. This tape contains footage from the refugee camps, including the arrival and distribution of international aid; interviews with Kurdish leaders and Peshmerga fighters, including Massoud Barzani (KDP leader) and Jalal Talabani (PUK leader); footage from Kurdish and Peshmerga gatherings; scenes from a hospital where wounded children are treated; and recording of a live Kurdish musical event.
