Contents Summary
The Anfal campaign was a genocidal campaign against the Kurdish people and other minorities in Iraqi Kurdistan. Led by Saddam Hussein, the campaign began in 1986 and lasted until 1989. It included the use of ground offensives, aerial bombing, systematic destruction of settlements, mass deportation, firing squads, and chemical warfare against the populations. This tape contains raw footage documenting the destruction of the villages located in northern Iraq in April 1987 as well as Iraqi recordings of a mass execution of the Barzanians—both events part of the Anfal campaign.
