Vo vremia perestroiki tam byla sozdana bolee shirokaia organizatsiia Ukrainskii Khel'sinskii Soiuz. Vot kak opisyvaet etot etap urainskii russkoiazychnyi zhurnal "Ob'ektiv". Chitaet V.Makarovskii. Summary:
Россия вчера, сегодня, завтра. Ведущая И.Лагунина. Украинский Хельсинский Союз по правам человека. Программа Л.Алексеевой. Правозащитное движение зародилось в середине 60х годов. В середине 70х начался яркий пириод, который получил название Хельсинское движение. История этого движения на территории стран социалистического лагеря. На Украине была создана группа вслед за Московской, её активисты подверглись особенно жестоким преследованиям. Все они были лишены свободы. Трое погибли в заключениии. Во время перестройки там была создана более широкая организация Украинский Хельсинский Союз. Вот как описывает этот этап ураинский русскоязычный журнал "Объектив". Читает В.Макаровский. Собеседник - Евгений Захаров, председетель правления Украинского Хельсинского Союза по правам человека.
