Мемуарные очерки, в которых автор воскрешает не столько события, сколько атмосферу, настроение, дух общества, в котором она жила вплоть до эмиграции в 1968 году после оккупации Чехословакии войсками стран Варшавского договора. Опубликована в № 41 журнала "Континент", выходящего в Париже, под редакцией Владимира Максимова. Перевод автора. В программе звучат фрагменты под названием: "Закон джунглей","Весна 1968","Оккупация","Эмиграция" читает Ирина Каневская.
