On 20 October 1998 the Republika Srpska Commission on Missing and Tracing conducted exhumations near Zavolje. The remains of three adult males and bone fragments were recovered. The Commission was searching for 15 Bosnian Serb soldiers and civilians that were reported to have been killed in the area by Bosniaks in September 1995.
