Альбом сначала выпущен в самиздате в 1978 году и передан Александру Солженицину ко дню его 60тилетия. Очерк "Пределы вандализма", Глава вторая, этот очерк является обширным послесловием к альбому. Глава первая и начало второй. Читают Юлиан Панич и Галина Зотова. Патриарху русской реставрации Барановскому предложили составить проект разборки храма Василия Блаженного, но он не только отказался, но и пригрозил самоубийством. История сноса храма Христа Спасителя.
