Series description: Newsmagazine of the USSR State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting aired weekly on Sundays at 7 p.m. in 1969-1987. The program consisted of several sections: an overview of the major political and economic events of the week, the workers fight for their rights, unemployment and racism, national liberation movements, international security, and culture. Its slogan was "Events, Facts, and Commentaries." Its hosts were Aleksandr Bovin, Henry Borovik, Gennadii Gerasimov, Valentin Zorin, Aleksandr Kaverznev, Boris Kalyagin, Vitalii Kobyshev, Tomas Kolesnichenko, Edward Mnatsakanov, Farid Seiful-Mulyukov, Anatolii Ovsyannikov, Vsevolod Ovchinnikov, and Igor' Fesunenko.

Creation Note:
This program was broadcast by Ostankino television (Moscow) in the Russian Federation and recorded by the moniotring group at the Research Institute of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Munich as part of their effort to track and analyze the official media of the countires of the former Soviet Union.
