Summary:
Public hearing of József Kővágó, former Mayor of Budapest, and Major General Béla Király. In his statement, Kővágó talked about the aims of the revolution, the Imre Nagy government and its attitude towards the Warsaw Treaty. He finished his speech by listing the Hungarians' expectations of the United Nations. Király talked about the Soviet intervention, the charges of counter-revolution and fascist conspiracy, the program of the revolution, Soviet political tactics in Hungary during the revolution, the cover negotiations, and the role played by the Hungarian army during the revolution.
