Summary:
Statements were made by Venezuela, Ecuador, Uruguay, India, Yugoslavia, Norway and China. Except for Yugoslavia, these countries fully supported the objectivity of the report. Norway refuted the Soviet allegation and praised the Special Committee for its moral standing. Support was expressed for the draft resolution, and it was hoped that appropriate actions would be taken by the United Nations to assure the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Hungary.
