On 4 August 1999 the Republika Srpska Commission on Tracing Prisoners and Missing Persons exhumed gravesites at three locations in the vicinity of Kladanj. The nine individuals being sought were all believed to be civilians who died in the area during the war years. The RS Commission had name associations for all individuals.
