The film consists of several short novels that portray everyday life of the imhabitants of one of the small Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia. Assembled together and interlain by the selection of miniature poems (e.g. the Haiku poems of Basho and Issa, a Zen poem of Ryokon and the verse written by the film director, S. Byamba) the stories weave a poetic and throught-provoking narrative of time, hope and the brevity of human existence in the face of eternity.
