- Summary
- An artistic genius and a radical experimentalist, Man Ray won huge critical acclaim for his photographic work, but his film work remains almost totally unknown. This video contains four films made during the Twenties which established Man Ray as a major figure of avant-garde cinema - the Dada-influenced Le Retour à la raison and Emak Bakia, and the Surrealist L'Etoile de mer and Les Mystères du château du dé, as well as eleven short home movies. The films have been restored by The Musée national d'art moderne/Centre Pompidou.
