Some live close by, others have to walk for over an hour, to reach one of the few places with sufficient lighting. A similar hardship is faced by their teachers: every day, they have to work out how to attract the interest of classes full of exhausted students and how to prepare for the next school day without light. Only one in five in Guinea’s population of 10 million has access to electricity. A literal and metaphorical journey towards enlightenment, Black Out shows the children’s resourcefulness and determination as a metaphor for the country’s own struggle for change, and explores whether Guinea can at last fulfill its potential and secure a better future for its people. 580 Verzio Film Festival Submission 655 4 Documentary films 260 United Kingdom : |bJames, Claire Neate ; Mansoo, Kat, |c2012. 041 engfra |jeng |jhun 952 |00 |10 |40 |50 |70 |8FL |993123FL |bFL |d2016-11-25 |l0 |r2016-11-25 |w2016-11-25 |yDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_3071_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9149979FL |bFL |d2019-10-04 |l0 |oFL Record 3071 |pHU_OSA_00004711.mp4 |r2021-11-04 |w2019-10-04 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 wXZWEzY7 966 True |bHU_OSA_00004711 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
