a| This movie is about a lady detective, Svorcova, who is assigned to a particularly puzzling homicide case. The deeper she digs, the more it seems that no one really wants the murder solved. She eventually deduces that the killing has something to do with an "untouchable" Communist flunky. Director Blumenfeld dances adroitly around the political issues in Tereza, but they're there to anyone who can read.
