Between 1987 and 1990 thousands of babies were vaccinated with dirty needles in Romania. 15,000 of them got HIV. Three of the victims, Mirela, Irina and Paula are struggling against poverty and stigmatization. In Bergen, two businessmen establish a foundation to help these children. For three years we follow their struggle to give three of the victims a new life. But as time goes by they are forced to realize that aid work is more difficult than business, and that sometimes good intentions are not enough.
