- Summary
- Manuel and Augusta live in the slowly disappearing rural northeast of Portugal. Their 52 years marriage is an intimate portrait of a way of life shaped by agriculture. Aware that "quitting is dying" and that they are allowed to take vacation only when they are ill, they turn work into dialogue and joy. It's in one of those conversations that they still remember the summer fair where "they got together".
