- Summary
- The border between Mexico and the US is the busiest in the world, with some 200 million legal and around 1 million illegal crossings each year. “Aqui te espero” is a story about pollos and polleros - migrants and human traffickers - on the Tijuana-San Diego border. Through interviews and on the scene footage, the film exposes the reality of the constant flow of people trying to get to the US. America is nowhere closer in Mexico than here, but many of the hopeful who come to Tijuana to cross the border, end up living their lives watching the border wall every waking minute, without being able to cross it.
