Summary

László Sárdi, a young person from the countryside comes to Budapest at the end of the 1960s. He arrives with his lover, and older woman, planning to start a new life, but she eventually leaves him to pursue her own career. Literary ambitions keep László in the city, he rents a flat and works for a newspaper, learning his first lessons in cynicism and hypocrisy.
