The documentary is about dependency, faith, and loneliness. The central axis of the story is "Manuel Rubio Sánchez", better known as Santo Manuel. He is the common vertex of three characters: Lourdes, our protagonist, a young girl who went from 16 to 29 years old, locked in the hut helping Manuel. After spending her youth in the hut, Lourdes seeks her place in society. María, a 72-year-old woman who left everything behind to help Manuel. Ángel, a 75 year old man, friend of Manuel. The documentary collects different testimonies from people who surrounded the 'Saint Manuel', focusing more on the human figure than on his face as a healer. He also delves into the loneliness and emptiness of the people around him, taking care of him or helping him in the kitchen. People who have not yet overcome their loss nine years after his death. The excellent sound and, above all, the absence of it also lead to that feeling of emptiness that he left among his friends.
