- The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

Munich - Glasnost and Gorbachev were the topics as two of the world's leading experts on communism met at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty headquarters here. Left is Vladimir Bukovsky, Russian writer and scientist now at King's College, Cambridge, prominent Soviet dissident, author, lecturer, winner of the Konrad Adenauer Freedom and Literature Prize; and Robert Conquest, distinguished author, editor, educator and diplomat, whose books and articles on the Soviet Union have earned wide acclaim. The two were members of a panel of international authorities on communism who conducted a seminar discussion on "The USSR Under Gorbachev: Glasnost and its Implications" at RFE/RL on May 19, 1987.
