Contents Summary
Analog Master tape. Exhumation of Imre Nagy and other executed martyrs of 1956. On the demand of surviving family members, in the spring 1989 the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs started the exhumation of Imre Nagy and other executed and secretly buried victims of the 1956 Revolution. The exhumation took place in Parcel 301 in the Rákoskeresztúr cemetery in Budapest. The filmmakers follow the entire process of unearthing the corpses buried in unmarked gravesites 31 years before. The exhumation is led by investigators, researchers and forensic experts who give detailed accounts of the facts and findings. Also present are the family members, who are confronted with the fact that some of the bodies were buried with their faces down. First accounts, interviews given by the relatives – wives, children – of the murdered politicians, along with accounts by friends and witnesses are also part of the documentary film.
Analog Master.
